Parallel Lives “Parallel Lives” is a 58-page book cataloging James Jean’s 2013 New York solo show at Jack Tilton Gallery. The book contains 47 plates reproducing every drawing, painting and mixed media work in the show. The digital edition includes full-screen, Retina-resolution images and 179 additional process photographs.

    A beautiful and thoughtful put together e-book. No need to tell you that James' work are amazing. It is a plus that you can zoom in to see more details on the paintings and drawings. And the best thing for me is the additional process photos section. Those are priceless!

    As a longtime admirer and collector of Pressure Printings fine artworks, I was very interested in their first foray into the digital medium. And what a debut it is. A stunning digital version of their James Jean's Parallel Lives -show catalogue. But so much more than just a digital version. This iBook version contains interactive behind the scenes looks at how James Jean developed some of his pieces. James generous inclusion of these images is a fascinating look at his creative process. James Jean work is reproduced here in stunning zoom-able detail. His imagery is at times, so complex and intricate , one can spend hours pondering and exploring his work. Having the ability to do so in this portable digital format, is something I have been so longing for as a keen art lover. The work is of course, amazing, from beautiful portraiture to complex, intricate pen and line work weaving mythology and symbolism, James's work will stay with you long after the viewing. Brad Keech from Pressure Printing has again created a beautiful collaborative work , but his time in the digital medium. The generous collaboration of James Jean has produced something truly unique for iBooks . I hope this will be the first of many digital books from Pressure Printing.
