RIMSE is famous as an all-India Institute for imparting Value Education. The programmes conducted here are based on eternal Human Values. It trains the teachers, both pre-service and in-service, in Value Education. Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India has recognized the humble service RIMSE has been rendering for more than three decades. It has recognized RIMSE as a Regional Resource Centre for education in Human Values. Following short-term courses are conducted for various people. 

A 15-day summer course in Value Education for teachers from Navodaya and Kendriya Vidyalayas all over India (since 1994), sponsored by Department of Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.

RIMSE has conducted a number of Four-week residential Orientation Courses in Value Education for Lecturers of Colleges/ Universities, sponsored by U.G.C, New Delhi.

A 10-day Value Orientation Course for Principals of Navodaya Vidyalayas all over India, sponsored by Department of Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India and Navodaya Samithi, Delhi.

One-week free Character Development Camp for Rural Youth since 2002.

Character Development Camps for tenth standard and plus-two level students. 

A one-day course in Value Education for Secondary School Teachers in and around Mysore City. 

RIMSE has conducted two four-day courses in ‘Value Orientation in Teacher Education’ for the teacher educators in association with NCTE, New Delhi, in December 2001, which evoked a very encouraging response from the all concerned. 

A short term course on Work Ethics for Industrial Employees.

RIMSE has been conducting a short term course of two/three days on "Understanding Roles and Responsibilities through Values" It has organized a number of two-day programmes for employees of JK Tires, Mysore covering around 1,600 employees. 

RIMSE conducts a number of four-day programmes for Karnataka Milk Federation executives, scientists, and paramedical staff. The subjects discussed are Work Ethics, Interpersonal Relationships, Adapting to the Change, Stress Management, Working in a Team, Attitude Change etc.
